Yerba Buena Island – Southgate Road Realignment

The project entails the construction of new on/off ramps on the southeast side of the island’s easterly exit. Transamerican Engineers (TAE) will provide construction staking and surveys as required through out the project.

Scope of Work

TheTransportation Authority, in collaboration with Cal trans and the Treasure Island Development Authority, unveiled the new westbound I-80 on-and off-ramps, establishing vital connections between Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island and the eastern span of the Bay Bridge. This endeavor significantly enhanced traffic safety, geometric design, and traffic operations near the ramps.

This project is integral to ongoing efforts to replace and retrofit key roads and on-and off-ramps linking I-80 (the highway on the Bay Bridge) and Yerba Buena Island.Through collaborative efforts with the Treasure Island Development Authority and theOffice of Economic and Workforce Development, the Transportation Authority spearheads initiatives to modernize infrastructure. These upgrades play a pivotal role in advancing the objectives of the Treasure Island Transportation Program.
